Your best hope of driving decent levels of traffic from Google is having an internal linking strategy that will actually get results. Achieve this by focusing on ranking category pages for common broader topics, under which a number of products fall. For example, put the focus on ranking for “Adidas shoes”, and have all Adidas products internally linking through to that category page.
Beyond product descriptions, you should make sure all pictures and videos are optimised in Google’s eyes. Google-quality imagery helps to convert, but it can also be used to better demonstrate what the page is about to Google. So, focus on giving everything appropriate optimised alt attributes and file names.
