Normally I get in at 8:30 and make myself a coffee, then I reply to my emails. I write blog posts throughout the day for Lexel and for our clients so each day is a bit different and I get to learn about new things all the time from researching what I’m writing about. I also manage the social media accounts for Lexel and send out email campaigns and newsletters so I’ve got lots to keep myself busy with.
I really enjoy the fact that I get to write a lot of interesting content for a huge range of different clients
The team are great so I look forward to coming in
I love seeing people's positive responses to the content I’ve written, it's always a good feeling when you know your hard work is being appreciated!
I was an au-pair for a year. I wouldn’t say that’s particularly weird but it’s the most random job I’ve had and one of the most challenging, too. 6 year olds aren’t always easy to manage but I got there in the end and really made the most out of being in Berlin. I can speak German pretty well now, too so that was a bonus.
Helping people grow business that they’re proud of.
I can lick my elbow.
I always walk to and from work so when I finish, I take a nice, long, relaxing walk. I either go home or I meet my friends / boyfriend for a drink. I’m passionate about cooking so will nearly always cook something yummy but I do also love going for a nice meal out so sometimes I’ll treat myself.
I’d say write, write, write. Get experience working for free for different companies, even if it’s just for a week. That way you can develop your skills and you’ll be much more attractive to employers. Also start your own blog and write about whatever interests you. I’d also suggest keeping up to date with social media trends and enroll yourself onto Google Analytics Academy, which is totally free and really useful.
